National Nutrition Week

National Nutrition Week

Boost Your Immunity!
In the wake of COVID-19, building up and enhancing body immunity has become a prime concern. 31st August to 4th September,  Assembly Activities celebrated ‘National Nutrition Week’. Grade VII to X, hosted lovely demos displaying Food Groups, Proportions of Food to be consumed to maintain good health and they did this in myriad ways! If it was an interesting Quiz one day, it was a celebration of the ‘Rainbow’ colours of food and their nutritive benefits the next! They spoke about the ill-effects of consuming ‘Junk Food’ and prepared short videos to showcase their cause! That sure was a ‘Tasty’ week , learning all about Food, Health and Nutrition!

Green cucumber, red tomatoes, yellow capsicum, golden maize….God gifted us lovely foods in ‘Rainbow colours! ‘ National Nutrition Week’ being the Theme, this week’s Assembly Activities focussed on Health Foods that help boost our Immunity. Students from Grades III to VI educated the audience in a variety of ways on Food Groups, Proportions to be consumed, the harmful effects of ‘Junk Food’, benefit of salads! Some enterprising boys and girls demonstrated how to prepare simple foods, salads etc. All in all,  it was a very  ‘Yummy’ week!
