Tsunami Day

Tsunami Day

Quizzing About Killer Waves!
What do you call a series of waves that can be as small as 30 cms or 100 metres in height, have the destructive power of several atom bombs being triggered off at the same time and can travel at the speed of a jet plane? Killer waves or Tsunamis, of course! Students of Grades III & IV presented a Special Assembly on 5th November  to make everyone aware about the disaster that the Tsunami is and the destruction and havoc that it can cause. Students came up with presentations giving information on the significance of this day, data about the biggest Tsunamis, interesting facts on Tsunami, Quizzes etc. Of special interest was the 3D model of the Tsunami and the excellent explanation that accompanied it. Well done, children! And kudos to the Assembly in-charges, Ms. Vandana and Ms. Meenakshi for organising it!
