Be Sensitive to Your Sense Organs!

Be Sensitive to Your Sense Organs!

The students of PP I and PP II played blind Man’s bluff on 19th July! In case you are wondering why they were playing instead of attending classes, be informed that the game was part of the their studies. They were learning all about sense organs and the game was part of  their learning with real time objects! The students made sense organs with clay/ dough and understood the functions through playing some games. They were blindfolded and asked to find their sibling/ parent to learn about the sense of sight. Similarly for the sense of sound, the kids were asked to be blind folded and were made to listen to sounds. In this manner, they learnt about loud and soft sounds! The students learnt about good and bad smells by being made to identify  onion, garlic, flower, perfume, agarbatti. Children understood different tastes by eating different things like sugar, chocolate, salt, neem leaves, lemon etc. For sense of feeling children were asked to touch and feel soft toys and hard toys. They also understood hot – cold things and also not to touch sharp things like scissors, knives, needles etc. They were fun activities and the children enjoyed them to the hilt!  Must commend the PPI teacher, skilled Ms. Saniya and the PPIIA Mentor, Adept Ms. Aporupa and PPIIB Mentor, Hearty Ms. Haritha, for thinking up these enjoyable activities!
