Swad Ka Tyohar

Swad Ka Tyohar

DSE Manikonda today set out on a ‘Zaike Ka safar’, spanning the length and breadth of India! In fact, I am sure you breathed in deeply of all the mouth watering aromas wafting down your internet wires, right into your homes! Today, the school celebrated the 2nd day of the week-long festivities of the 75th Indian Independence Day celebrations. On offer were snacks, sweet dishes, main course dishes et al -fresh Parathas with butter melting over them, crisp Dosas with the customary Aloo sabji and coconut chutney, syrupy Jalebies-you name it and it was there! Today, the school decided to celebrate ‘Variety is the Spice of Life’ which is so typical of India with regards to food and fare! There was an over-whelming response to the Indian Food Festival which left everyone smacking their lips and drooling over the delicious fare that was on ‘virtual’ offer. DSE Manikonda, is celebrating India and being Indian in a novel, unique manner and one can bet that nowhere in the world can we find such a wide range of delicacies and yet be termed ‘Indian’! Commendations to the Assembly In-charges, Ms. Madhuri Polishetty and Ms. Iswari Patil for thinking up such lovely themes for the special celebrations! Today’s celebration was truly a wonderful example of ‘Unity in Diversity’!
