Ithihas ke Kuch Panne

Ithihas ke Kuch Panne

“Who lives if India dies?” So asked the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. And true to the query, our heroes from Grade PP to Grade X dressed up as Indian Independence Heroes to pay homage to their favourite heroes! In a fancy dress competition of sorts, they went one step further to spout fiery speeches of their heroes or pen patriotic slogans about the importance of our 75th Indian Independence Day Celebrations. The walls echoed with cries of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and the homes reverberated with patriotic slogans! ‘Ithihas ke Kuch Panne’, today’s theme for celebrations, was both rousing and enjoyable as the students took part in dressing as their idolised heroes and presenting stirring speeches! The most popular hero appears to be Shaheed Bhaghat Singh as quite a few students dressed up like him. Jhansi ki Rani Lakshmi Bhai seemed to be equally famous as there were quite a few takers amongst the girls who donned her costume! Congratulations to two Assembly In-charges, Ms. Madhuri and Ms. Ishwari for thinking up this lively theme. ” Jai Hind! To our freedom fighters, to our soldiers, to our heroes of the nation, they are the reason we are still alive, and we will never forget their sacrifice. Happy Independence Day! May your spirits rise with the flag!”
