The final leg of the Computer Workshop was completed successfully on 20th April, 2019 with the faculty of DSE Manikonda taking their onlinetheory and practical exam. The teachers expressed their satisfaction on having learnt many new techniques which they felt were very useful. They were also eager to know who would win the first two prizes. The computer faculty wished all of them the very best and motivated them to put in their best efforts.
The new academic year brings in new potential, new opportunities and new promises!!
DSE Manikonda encourages the students to embrace challenges each year by giving concrete learning experiences, the first being citizenship education.
To lead the students, a new student council is formed each year where students are democratically elected.
The election heat picked up with the children of Grades IV-X coming in full strength to cast their votes. The seriousness and eagerness with which these students undertook the whole process was a sight to behold.
The nominees for the Student Governing Body 2019-20, enthusiastically campaigned for the elections All the contestants displayed bright and colourful logos with meaningful slogans.

The more you celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate. It is a well acknowledged fact that school life makes childhood colorful and bright. A colorful part of it is the annual celebration which acts as a platform to discover and display the talent of students. This year was no different. The Annual Day celebrations of DSE Manikonda, was a journey that showcased a kaleidoscope of soulful stories, as this year’s theme was Kathasagar – Kahaniya suni, unsuni. The enchanting spectacle began with guard of honour to escort the chief guest of the day, Mr.S.G.S Kishore, CEO, GMR - Airport, Hyderabad along with the dignitaries – chairman, Mr. Madhusudan Rao, Vice-Chairperson, Ms.Shilpa Ravi, Secretary, Ms.Rama Devi, Academic Director, Ms.B.Shashikala, Administrator of Attapur, Ms.Reshmi, the teams of Attapur and Banjara Hills. It was followed by lighting of the lamp which kick started an evening of tales as mesmerizing as the star studded sky.
The gala began with performers of grade 1, who took the audience into the naughty world of natkhat Krishna, which thwarted them to their childhood and rekindled their sweet memories. It was then time for the tiny tots of pre-primary to transport the spectators into the chimerical world of Cinderella, fairies, magic and love.
This was followed by the chief guest’s motivational and enlightening speech. The students of 2017-18 were felicitated by the chief guest for their outstanding performance in the board exams. The school topper was awarded a cash prize of Rs.10000, subject toppers were presented with certificates and mementos. The outgoing students of the academic year 2018-19 who impressed everyone with their outstanding performance in sports, oratory and academics were also appreciated with a certificate and memento.
The felicitation ceremony was followed by the performance of grade 2 which captivated everyone present with magical moments of the man-cub, Mowgli. This was followed by charismatic Chanakya, by students of grade 5 which served as a reminder that our roots are pretty strong.
It was then time to applaud and laud the efforts put in by everyone for the eventful year that has gone by. Principal, Ms. Hemalatha along with Hemanth, the school head boy and Meghana, the head girl presented the Annual Report for the year 2018-19.
The event was then taken ahead by girls of grade 7 to 10 with riveting Ramayana, presented in the form of a musical. The euphoria created by them was carried ahead by grade 3 and 4 who celebrated various festivals of India with pomp and vigor. This was followed by a magical performance by students of grade 6 who teleported us to the sands of Arabia to experience the magic of the Genie. The audience were then given a visual treat by senior boys who narrated the saga of the supreme lord in his 10 forms, a fitting performance for the grand finale, mesmerising everyone.
We at DSE, Manikonda hope to have ignited the spirit to spend quality time with grandparents and make many wonderful memories. We promise to come back next year with an event equally entertaining, enriching and enlightening.
Student’s Self Evaluation event was organized on 29th September, 2018. Different creative activities were organized for all the classes to make the learning more interesting. The main objective was to encourage each child to learn and present as well as promote competitive spirit among them. The students have shown remarkable confidence while presenting the concepts that were taught during the term. Each segment was filled with a range of competitive activities for students such as – Self introduction using a puppet, Fishing Numbers, Letters train, Story narration, Word Puzzle, Dice Game, Word Maze, Matching Activity, Counting Activities, Reading skills, Number Caterpillar and so on…. We are thankful to all the parents who witnessed their ward’s performance and participation.
